These terms apply to the Formspill browser extension and to this website. Formspill is a product of Mozilor Limited, company number 11946756, registered at 3 Warren Yard, Wolverton Mill, Milton Keynes, MK12 5NW, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Formspill you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it. How Formspill handles information is described separately in the privacy policy.
What Formspill is, and what it is not
Formspill is a free tool that shows who may receive what you type into a website's forms. Its results are information to help you decide for yourself. They are not legal, compliance or security advice, and they are not a certificate that a website follows data protection law such as the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR. If you run a website and need to know whether it complies, take your own professional advice.
No guarantee
Formspill is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. Websites change and can behave differently from one visit to the next, so a check can miss a company that receives your details, or describe something that the website does differently at another time. We do not promise that Formspill will find every tracker, that its results will be complete or accurate, or that it will always be available, free of errors or work with every website or browser version. We may change, suspend or stop offering Formspill at any time.
Using Formspill
You choose which websites to check, and you use Formspill on them at your own discretion, in line with the law and those websites' own terms. The full check visits the website as a normal visitor would and types made-up details into its forms; it is designed to stop those details from being sent, and to keep your own details out of the check. You must not use Formspill to attack, overload, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to any website or system.
Websites and companies named in results
We do not control the websites you check or the companies Formspill names in its results, and we are not responsible for what they do with information you give them. When Formspill names a company, it describes what the check observed on that page at that time; it is not a statement that the company or the website has broken any law. Company names for tracker domains come from the AdGuard companies database (CC BY-SA 4.0), which incorporates WhoTracks.me data (CC BY 4.0).
Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law. If you use Formspill as a consumer, these terms do not affect your legal rights.
Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, Formspill or its results, including decisions you make about whether to use a website or what to type into it;
- we are not liable for what websites or other companies do with information you give them;
- if you use Formspill for business purposes, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
Ownership
Formspill, its name and this website belong to Mozilor Limited. Third-party data included in Formspill remains under its own licence, as stated above.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date. If you continue to use Formspill after a change, the new terms apply; you can stop at any time by removing the extension.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in the European Union, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the law where you live and may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
